cool spot to relax
A beautiful scenery.
I loved the short but thrilling walk in the valley(??) between the massive rocks believed to be a gateway to god's realm and would recommend it to both kids as well as adults. Difficult to access by public transport (no trains and the nearest bus stop is a good 3 km. walk ), the last one km. stretch to the parking lot is a very narrow road that can discourage some car owners too. I had the place to myself on a warmer spring day but doubt this place is ever crowded. A good place to visit after or before the Hossawa falls nearby.
You can go through the rocks or through the tunnel to the other side. You need to be careful though, the way you take to go through the rocks is like a cliff. There are chains on the rock wall, keep it right in your hands. Also there is a river. Water looks pretry pure that you can see the bottom. I had drunk some, later had no stomach pain. The reason why I rated the place to 3, is that a lot of people visit there. So if you are looking for a place in silence, Kanoto Rock may be the wrong place.
