Excellently equipped ticket counter for foreigners. Plenty of translated materials and super friendly staff. Easy to pop in and get your rail pass and then hop on the shinkansen. The agent was kind and reserved us seats and got us ready to go quickly!

The staff I encountered today was ridiculous. I wanted to exchange for NEX ticket for the train departing in 5 minutes and he refused, insisting I couldn’t make it. I was able to get to the platform in just 2 minutes, only to see the train departing. I’ve never seen anything like this before.

I like Tokyo Station because they have prayer room inside JR East Ticket Office. You don't have to worry to find a place to pray.
