I'm Subaru outback driver from Taiwan and have a family tour in Japan during summer vacation. On our way to Kawaguchiko from downtown Tokyo, we drop by Tokyo SUBARU Mitaka. Unexpectedly, we're given such a warm reception by a friendly and pretty female receptionist. We feel greatly honoured and very impressed. That did build a successful brand image in my mind. Go Subaru!
Being a Subaru Fan Boy, this place was awesome! It's not very big of a gallery, and it is a very active car dealership. However, if you are into Subies then this is just about a must see (yes I know it's about an hour outside Tokyo). I believe for the most part, the exhibition changes from time to time based on older pics I saw. But there were still great cars, including the 22B which is just brilliant. Also, fortunately for me, there was also a brand new STI RA-R in the parking lot. Seeing 2 unicorns so close together, I almost lost it.
This is a great place to visit if you are a fan of the Subaru brand. It's only a few stops away from the Ghibli Museum so plan accordingly if you are in the area. This location offers a museum upstairs showcasing awards and achievements the brand has earned over the years. They have past rally cars on display as well. The staff is super friendly, and while not all speak English they were able to get me someone who did. At the time we arrived they were having an anniversary event and offered us cookies and other neat things. All in all this is just a dealership with a small museum up top. It was a great experience, but I would highly consider planning it around other local attractions as there is not much else to do here.
If you like STI, You'll love this place. Must visit the STI gallery here if you're a Subie fan. The people are so friendly and most of them speak english.
They also have a showroom in the 2nd floor.
Its the flagship Subaru store of Tokyo.
I wouldn't call this a museum, but more of a 3rd floor only showroom with a Subaru 22b, Rally versions of the STi wagon and sedan. Can't really buy any of the models inside the display or the trophies, but some shirts and diecast models on bottom floors for take home souvenirs. Overall, it was worth the trip.
