I am beginner in snowboarding and they advertised on their website that they have school - it was written in English so I assumed they have English speaking instructors, bit they didn't. Apart from that it was great. There are different slopes and different difficulties. There is no slope for beginners but if you are careful enough you can try blue slope. Difficulties are marked with colors-Blue, Yellow, Red and Black. Blue is the easiest , black is the hardest one. Have fun! I did

Okutone is quite a small resort but good fun none the less. The first lift takes you up to about the half way point. There is a restaurant there and another lift higher up. The runs are reasonably steep and there are usually some good jumps around too. Not too much terrain for beginners but there is a long track that leads from the top of the first lift down to the bottom of the resort.
