Doesn't have a super-strong flavor palette, no does it boast crazy portions. In fact, it's so damn simple you might have to go (back) to Tokyo to get a 'real' yakisoba... ...which means you don't get it at all. This is fantastic.

Local famous store for a long time. This shop specializes only in \YAKISOBA\. There are many celebrity signs in the store. The shop is very retro. It's mood is so good. There seemed to be a regular customer from the old days because there are frequent orders for phone calls.Most of them are to be taken at home. I ordered a special mix of Ishidaya in the photo. Green dish is large size and yellow one is medium one. It was my first time to have ham with YAKISOBA. GARI(sliced ginger prepared in vinegar) and sauce were also delicious. You can buy the sauce, but unfortunately you can't buy GARI. Furthermore, no GARI is attached when you take it home, so you can enjoy it only in the store. In addition to the size, it seems that you can also order like “Special mix for 1000 yen-amount”. Disadvantages: There are 6 parking lots (4 on the side of the store and 2 on the street). If you put the four next to the store in the back, you will not be able to leave until the front person finishes eating. The location will tell you if you ask the landlady (I actually heard without knowing) If you you go from Utsunomiya-station,please use Taxi cab.Around 5min you can go there(If you walk , it takes about 30min) 地元では昔から有名なお店とのことで来店しました。焼きそばのみの専門店です。店内にはロケで訪れたであろう有名人のサインがずらり。 店内、非常にレトロです。 いい味出してます。持ち帰りもできるらしく、注文の黒電話が頻繁になる所からも昔からの常連さんがいるようでした。 写真の石田屋特製ミックスを注文。 緑が大で、黄色が中。ハムが入っているの初めてでした。ガリ、ソースも美味でした。ソースは購入できますが、残念ながらガリは購入できません。さらに持ち帰りではガリは添付されないので、店内のみ味わうことができます。 サイズ以外にも「特製ミックス1000円分で」のような通な注文も出来るようです。 難点:駐車場は6台(店横4台と道挟んだ2台)です。 店横4台は奥に入れると手前の人が食べ終わるまで出られません。場所は、女将さんに伺えば教えてくれます(実際分からずに聞きました)

Yakisoba noodles were thick and tasty, portions were large and hearty. Staff was friendly and the mama of the shop was an impressive woman!!
宇都宮といえば焼きそば食べてきなよ とアドバイスをいただいたので 老舗の石田屋さんへ やはり昼時混んでましたー！ 店先からはもう既にソースの良い香り堪らぬ メニューはとてもシンプル ミックスがオススメらしいけど個人的に ハムが苦手なので野菜と卵の波盛りをオーダー！ 並盛りでも結構な量でてきます！笑 追いソースして食べるスタイルなので 回しかけて頂きます 不思議に思ったのが紅生姜ではなくガリ！ これがまた合うんですよねーーー 今度から焼きそばはガリにしようと決めました 卵が半熟だったら嬉しかったなぁ笑 宇都宮焼きそばの歴史を知れる名店です！
2021年2月に訪問。 石田屋特製ミックス 並 700円 をいただきました。 ソースをかけて食べてくださいと言われました。まずはそのまま一口いただくと、ほのかなソースの風味がある程度で超薄口でした。その後、オススメに従ってソースをかけると段違いに美味しくなりました。 麺は富士宮焼きそばのようなモチモチ食感で、美味しかったです。 肉、野菜は特に美味しいわけではないですが風味を付加しているのかもしれません。ハムは良いアクセントになっていました。目玉焼きはハードボイルドで、要らないんじゃないかと思いました。 美味しかったですが、コスパ的には普通でしょうか。
