I visited on 19th August, 2019 for issuing a tourist visa. I am a citizen of Bangladesh. They asked for the following papers: 1. Application form (can be collected from online/ on-spot) 2. Passport (with minimum validity of 3 months may be, I can't remember, it's written in the website of the embassy) 3. Photocopy of passport (1 copy) 4. Photocopy of residence card (1 copy) 5. Residence card (they returned it after checking) 6. 35mmX45mm photo (1 copy) 7. Juminhyo (from word office or administration office branches of city office, it was not mentioned specifically in the website, that's why I had to go twice) 8. Fee (probably 4400 yen for a tourist visa, but it may vary based on your country and visa type, please check yourself from the website) Other facts: 1. I found the lady at the reception very helpful, she arranged all the papers herself for me and photocopied my passport even if I was supposed to prepare it myself. 2. The lady at the booth was not much friendly, but not rude either, she was more of a helpful lady 3. They didn't speak English other than Japanese and Korean language. However, they could speak only a few English words when I couldn't communicate and it really helped. 4. There are 2 photo-booths (may be 800 yen). 5. There is a copy machine for doing photocopy (10 yen per page). 6. There is a water dispenser for drinking water.

(As of 17-Jul-2019) Documents to be submitted by a NEPAL's Passport Holder to get Tourist Visa are as follows: 1) Filled Visa Application form 2) Valid Original Passport 3) Photocopy of Passport & Residence card(在留カード) 4) One(1) 35mm x 45 mm Passport size photo with White Background 5) Residence certificate(住民票) from ward office 6) Fee - 4,400 JPY 7) Processing time : 23 days

UPDATED as of March 26, 2019: South Korea Visa requirements for Filipino nationals residing in Japan. -Accomplished visa application form -Valid passport - 35mm X 45mm photo with white background -Residence Card (Zairyu Card) -Resident Certificate (Jūminhyō) *recently added as an additional requirement. -No fee to be paid for the visa -Processing takes about 2-3 days I came without a Jūminhyō. I am not aware that they are asking for it now. They did not ask for it when I applied for a tourist visa for the first time last year. The guy at the reception is at least trying his best to speak English but the lady at the counter 3 is not welcoming. It was such an inconvenience and a time wasted because I travel all the way from Kawasaki. :( Though the security guard was pleasant and hardworking (standing rain or shine) *They also have a picture booth to take your photo 800

‘모토마치•주카가이’역에서 내려서 (옥상-공원-까지 엘리베이터로 일단 가셔서 가시길)오르막에 위치하기 때문에 경치를 감상하며 걷다보면 약 10분 정도 걸립니다... ...오르막이라도 가는내내 주위 경관이 매우 아름다워서 힘들다는 생각은 들지 않습니다... ...더구나 도착하면 직원이 매우 친절하게 대응해 줍니다... ...아자부주반의 영사관에 비해 한산한 편이며 업무처리도 빨리 해 주는 편입니다... ... 아자부주반의 영사관에서는 안내를 해 주시는 2층의 남성분이, 창구의 직원보다 더 상냥하며 해야 할 일의 거의 반을 해주시는 역할이라면 요코하마의 안내를 맡으신 분은 무뚝뚝 하시고 키비시이 합니다만 그렇다고 불친절한 편은 아닙니다(정리정돈을 칼같이 잘하십니다(_)요코하마의 총영사관은 정수기 물이 있어서 시원한 물을 마실 수가 있습니다 (일본에서는 물을 제공하지 않는 곳이 더 많으니까 물을 제공하는 것만으로도 감사하더군요)심지어, 대문 입구의 경비를 맡으신 분까지도 나갈 때 열사병(熱中症)조심하라는 친절한 인사를 건네는 곳이었습니다.멀리까지 왔는데 서류 미비로 다시 방문 하는 일 없게 전화로 미리 확인하고 출발하시기실 권유드립니다.
