Its where I go on a budget. Japan is an expensive place to live in but you get to understand after a while. A worker lady was following me around since I entered the store. Probably she wanted to be the first to help if I needed anything. Part of me wants to think it was racism but nah; I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

If you just want a cheap place to do your everyday shopping, this is it. It's not fancy and it's definitely not spacious, but OK is consistently cheaper than any other supermarket that I check out. Their loyalty card costs 100yen, but it gets you a small discount and pays for itself pretty quickly. Try to go during the week, as Sundays are hectic.

Old and narrow supermarket, thus usually quite crowded. Has everything you need for the daily life in Japan, and all employees are helpful. There is an atmosphere of friendship between the employees and many customers.
