Good for kids
This a just a great place to take kids on a hot day. The trail goes along the stream but really you should just wear swim wear and walk up the stream. It's always shaded and my spouses' complaint is that it kinda looks like you're walking up a drainage ditch. It's definitely not a wild stream but I thoughtit was still pretty. There is a nice waterfall and some some water steps. Parking is easiest at the temple nearby (which also has a bathroom). There are a few small trails the cut down to the promenade too if you don't want to walk all the way to the official start. There is some parking at the start but only about 2-4 unofficial places and it would be easy to get parked in. One caveat is that you should hold off on visiting if there have been hard rains as the stream can get a bit high and muddy. If you're in for an adventure the trail keeps going up to the highest point on the Muira Peninsula.

This is a great little section of trail. You can enjoy the rushing water as you step from stone to stone crossing the stream. You can picnic at some of the wider areas. Kids enjoy plashing in the water and looking for aquatic aquatic creatures. This is a great way to start your hike up the steep steps of the Ogusuyama trail, or just do a short, easy bit of hiking. Personally I prefer to run this trail. It's great for running as a warm up and cool down before or after running up Ogusuyama. The water always feels cool, even in the summer. After rain storms the water can get too deep to cross.
Great trail. Good for families.
Beautiful sand beaches, trails, and overlooks!
Nice
