This is an easy hike and the observatory is well maintained. It is not crowded during weekdays. The hiking path is sheltered from direct sunlight, thanks to the trees in the surrounding area. however, it will be a good idea to bring an umbrella, sunscreen and hat during summer time because the road from train station to the hiking path is not covered.

景色がよく、アプローチもYRP側から来ると緩やかです。道がかなりガレているので注意。 三浦富士〜砲台山〜武山と繋げるのがいいですね！
保存状態がよく砲台跡まで階段で降りれます。
山頂の無骨な電波塔と砲台跡は、こうしたハイキング中にはなかなか出会わないので、興味深かったです。ちょうどパラボラアンテナ交換作業中で、ここまでクルマでこられた方々もいると知りびぅくりしました。
砲台跡の窪みの下まで下りてみた。綺麗に残っており、感激した。
山の中に史跡があってびっくり。
見晴らし台の先をぐるっと上ると、その名の通り砲台跡と思われる遺物があった。
