It's a park and historic site. There was a castle here in Edo proof. There is a public restroom, Car parking lot of 14 cars. Play ground ( including chute) for kids. You can enjoy picnic here with your friends.

膳所城本丸跡地だそうですが、雰囲気だけです。残っているのは石垣の一分ぐらいですかね？ ここに美しい城があったのだろうなと想像できるだけで来た甲斐はありましたけど。

12月半ばですが、紅葉がまだ楽しめました。 人出もそれほど多くないので、琵琶湖を眺めながらのんびりできます。 近くに食事できる場所も適当にあります。
