Very good service and delicious sushi. The place is a bit expensive for a rolling sushi, however, the size of the fish is way bigger as well, so it equals out. The main problem is the waiting time, which is insane. If you are lucky so can get inside in 30 minutes, if not, over one hour is completely normal in here. We actually tried several times to eat here but always had to gave up because of the waiting time. I would strongly recommend timing outside of lunch or dinner time, this place is that popular, regardless the score on Google maps.

Sushisen is one of the best large sushi train restaurants in Saijo. Accordingly, it is priced higher - you get what you pay for. There are a range of counter and box seats, although there is reduced capacity due to COVID as some seats are blocked off to increase distance between customers. The restaurant has introduced in late 2020 touch screens for ordering. Like many sushi train restaurants, there are a lot of side dishes available, such a fried chicken, octopus, etc so those who aren't so comfortable eating raw fish can still enjoy themselves. There are seasonal menus available, so the best dishes and cuts will depend on when you go and availability. There is take away available, and a range of party platters you can choose from.

Delicious sushi restaurant. It is little different to other well known sushi restaurants. To order you have to write it down on the note pad and hand it directly to the chef instead of using a tablet and the price is more expensive compared to places like Sushi Roo but the quality of the food is much BETTER! The service on the day also seemed better too! I will definitely be coming back! The only complaint is they have no English menu unlike other Sushi restaurants.

I've been here a few times and never had a problem until recently. I've been seated there with a group of 5 or 6 before, no problem. This time we had 6. We waited for almost an hour before we asked if we had missed our number because they were seating groups that got there after us. They told us they couldn't seat us together and refused to say or explain anything else even though we were speaking Japanese. Seems they might've let us sit there for hours without telling us anything.. veeery unimpressed with the customer service.
