Costco Japan is the worst store for customer service and selection of practical goods. Everytime I go there. I leave annoyed and irritated. The staff is too rigid and bossy to paying members!! I think they forget that. I was there yesterday. And the check out system and their way of dealing with Covid precautions is ridiculous and problematic as with everything there. There seemed to be more workers than customers...doing repetative jobs and were extrtemely disorganized. Luckily, I only go there for a few things every few months. It is not operated like a real Costco!
Good place to go to brouse and check out the excellent food display. American style shopping. A variety of items can be found there.
Beware, this place gets crowded on the weekends and the main road in front of the building gets congested. It would be nice if Google Maps allowed to add English name. For some reason it can't be added and only Japanese is displayed.
I love Costco as a rule, but this one suffers from a truly bad location. It has a single access road, which means that the traffic grinds to a halt on a weekly basis. If you're unlucky, you can get stuck as far back as the Machida-Kaido, and this is not an occasional problem, in our family we have to plan our weekends around missing the \Costco Line\. I know this isn't the store's fault, but it's an unforgivable oversight on the part of the people who decided to locate it there.
