You really can't say you've been to Tokyo if you haven't experienced the craziness at this intersection! Some times are busier than others, but it's a great experience either way. You don't even have to cross to get the whole vibe. You could easily take the train into Shibuya Station, head outside for a little bit to watch the action and go along your merry way. No need to spend a lot of time here if you don't like big crowds.

Shibuya Crossing. It's worth it to visit... once. There are tons of places to shop and little hole in the wall sushi spots to try. You could spend a week exploring within a 1,000m radius of here.
This review is for Shibuya Scramble (the gym, not the crossing). I've trained here for a total period of about two months, and I gotta say the training is pretty top notch, learned a lot here. They offer BJJ and Muay Thai/Kickboxing classes. I didnt take the BJJ classes so I can't comment about that. They have an actual Thai trainer who teaches Muay Thai so I would say it's pretty authentic. Besides that there's several retired/active pro fighters teaching kickboxing. Good workout intensity, friendly to foreigners too though you'll need some basic Japanese to register - none of the staff speak fluent English. A bit on the pricey side, but given that it's in the heart of Shibuya, nothing to be done about that.
Made me wander for half hour!!!! Wrong location!!!!
this is not the correct location, it's a few streets to the west
