Taste is so and so. Nothing special. Moreover They charge table fee for peanuts. 300 yen each even not requested. Stuff are young and they don’t care about costumers, they prefer chat instead. No reason to go there or at least I will never ever go there again

Hello Hokkaido

"Tako to Highball" With 2 locations in Tanuki Koji. I prefer the less busy 2 Chome shop. As their name suggests they serve tako yaki with whiskey and bourbon highballs. They have many different kinds of takoyaki from original to more adventurous spicy cod roe and cheese. My favourite kind however is off the menu, but they are happy to oblige. Takoyaki with ponzu, pepper and spring onions! Washed down with a mega highball heaven.

The worst experience in Japan ever. We were required to order one food per person. It’s okay, and after we ordered the food, we were then required to order one drink per person. We don’t feel good about this as it’s like we’re forced to pay more. And then the staff gave us some peanuts and said this is an appetiser to customer who have ordered drinks. Don’t expect it’s free - it’s a return of a “seating fee”. The menu said the seating fee is 300yen per person, and even if you don’t want the appetiser, the seating fee cannot be waived. The menu said this is the Japanese culture which I strongly disagree. I have been to various Japanese cities, some for more than 3 times and I have never heard about this “culture”. I wonder how this works. If the shop wants to cover the cost they should rather mark the food or drink at higher price but not by forcing customers to order things they don’t want. The food was far below average. Not to mention the shop is dirty and we were eating with mosquitoes and other insects.

Doesn't take credit cards. I tried the basic 8 piece. Some pieces burned my mouth, some were luke warm. Tasteless, tiny octopus. Needs salt. And flavor. Do not recommend.

I will suggest people consider first before entering this shop. Its’ Takoyaki’s skin is thickest with my 30 times of visiting Japan. It just simple the worst of my experience. This shop also has a rule of ordering one food and drink per person while an additional of 300 Yen will be charged to those who orders alcohol drink. (It says it kind of tradition of Japan but it is the first time I was told to apply to alcohol drink).

In the land of the rising sun , I have never ever experienced such disgraceful, rude pathetic attitude from any Japanese staff. All he said to us is " no no NOOOOOOOOOO and nOOOOOO " !!!... All i want to is order my beloved takoyaki :(..... sigh...
