There are lots of knife shops on Kappabashi. This one primarily sells knives they have made in Niigata. I told the clerk my budget and how I would use the knife and he recommended a knife to me that I'm really happy with.

初めて和包丁を購入したお店です。 あまり左利き用はみないのですが、こちらは比較的揃えてありました。 細かく丁寧に色々教えて頂き最初は出刃を、次に柳を購入しました‼️ 次は牛刀かペティを購入予定です‼️
私は他の店で包丁と磨ぎ器をセットで1万5千円くらいで買いましたが、たくさんの店を見てからじっくり買った方が良いですね(経験談)
