I came to this restaurant once about a year ago. We ordered rice combo and noodle soup. They both tasted amazingly. The noodle soup was too yummy so I ordered second bowl. The owner was unbelievable nice and friendly. She even brought us to Todaiji after the lunch (I honestly was so shocked that she provided us the ride.) I’ll definitely come back if I have a chance.

Small vegetarian eatery tucked in a residential district a few minutes walk from the Nara JR train station. Extremely friendly lady boss took the time and effort to explain the various ingredients that are commonly found in Japanese food which may not be suitable for vegans / vegetarians. Food wise, thoroughly enjoyed the soup ramen, and when the lady boss saw me pinching my friend's tofu and konnyaku jelly to try, she gave me a complimentary small dish, and it was really really good -- savoury tofu, which tastes a little like cheese, had bits of chewy konnyaku jelly, vegetables and mushroom mixed in, giving the dish this very interesting taste and texture! Based on memory, there were a few choices to choose from, including "four dishes and soup", ramen, and udon, while sets include drinks (coffee / tea) and dessertsfruits. Do note that the VAT/GST will be added to the bill upon payment.
Cozy vegan restaurant in a quiet residential suburb. Food is delicious & the owner is very friendly. Keep in mind that there are not as many options, however everything we had there was delicious.

It was a fantastic experience at Kinatei. Yoshiko is very friendly and spoke to us in English, describing all of the delicious food. The food is very good value, 1200 yen for a tasty lunch set that was all vegetarian. She even took us to Nara park after the meal. If you are a vegetarian or Vegan who is visiting Nara, I would highly recommend that you take the time to enjoy a meal here!
We found this amazing vegetarian restaurant on our visit to Nara. The food was delicious and would recommend anyone looking for authentic Japanese cuisine. On top of that the hospitality was out of the world. We had a great time and will definitely visit again on our next trip to Nara.
What a joy to find a vegetarian restaurant in Nara, and a vegan friendly one on top of that. Had a very nice and tasty lunch. The hostess was lovely and nice to talk to. The hospitality went beyond what you could expect.
