One of the few ok walking trails in the area. For the longest hike start at the southern Ten’en Hiking trail (not Ten’en hiking course), pass the caves, turn right at the lunch restaurant by the bamboo woods, and turn right again when you hit a chain link fence. This will put you on a pretty extensive path that heads out to some community woods and a picnic area on a hill. Every other turn ended pretty abruptly and I did a fair bit of backtracking before I figured it out. The maps aren’t too amazing. The path is pretty brushy and covered, and a tad bit slippery/muddy if raining but I had no problems through light showers. There was one rather small bathroom at the start of the hike if you go straight up past the lunch restaurant towards the Kamakura public golf course.

鎌倉幕府が開かれて間もない頃に朝比奈切通しが鎌倉武士団に開削されるまで、古代豪族や坂東武者が往来した鎌倉古道尾根道。 尾根道にもいくつも切通しが現存し、狼煙台の砦跡らしき地名と地形がいくつも続く道を進むと、鎌倉横浜市円海山に続き、林道の終着地には奈良時代から平安時代にかけて稼働した東日本最大の鑪製鉄所遺跡の上郷深田遺跡が2019年末現在は現存する。 上郷深田遺跡は東急建設による破壊計画が横浜市に提出されており、林文子は容認する発言をしており鎌倉武士団の文化醸成地は乱開発により消滅の危機に瀕している。
子供の頃桜井小学校の遠足で山道をずっと歩いて辿り着きました。凄く遠い道のりでしたが。今ググルマップで見ると大した事無いなぁって印象。
ちょっとしたハイキングコースで、スニーカーなどの軽装で行けます！森林浴が気持ち良く金沢文庫駅から鎌倉へ出れるので鎌倉宮や二階堂、八幡宮や小町通りを抜けて鎌倉駅から帰宅しました！
四季によって、見え方が変わります。 雨降りは滑ります、小股でゆっくり竹林を楽しみましょう。 金沢文庫駅から六国峠を通り天園ハイキングコースおすすめです。更に 朝比奈の切り通しから熊野神社横を通り六浦駅迄、多分13キロ位有ります、楽しめますよ。 鎌倉山いろいろ道があり楽しめます。 最近 トレールランナーも良く見かけます。 お互い気持ち良く挨拶して譲り合いましょう。
休憩所上に位置する岩からは景色を一望出来、天気がいいと富士山が見える。分岐点の八景島方面は嵯峨野の竹林のような雰囲気。
近場で本格的なハイキングが楽しめます。
