This is a wonderful place to visit if you stroll in Yanaka. You can just drop in the gallery to see funny dolls with good old Japan atmosphere, but if you have time, I would recommend to see a puppet show played several times a day. You don't need to understand Japanesecan to enjoy the play . If you have more time, you can also ask to draw your portrait. One of the gentlemen draws a portrait as if a puppet is drawing. It's about 1,000 yen. I'm sure you will be amazed to see the quality of the portrait!

Handmade puppets. The Puppet Show is understandable even if you don't speak Japanese, and it's really fun an poetic ! This place is really unique, a must see in Yanaka !

작은 인형제조 공방겸 인형극장..시간에 맞춰가면 30분의 손인형 공연을 감상할수 있다..원하는 인형의 주문 제작도 가능하다
谷根千散歩にぜひおすすめ。 谷中から千駄木に向かう途中で発見。テレビでも紹介されたようで、分かりにくい場所ながら人気のようでした。 指人形は手作りで、表情が豊かで人間味があり見ているだけでも楽しい。 30分で、10〜11演目を指人形で公演してくれます。開演までは指人形を見たりして待ちます。 15席くらいの小さな寄席風で、指人形の舞台を見守る感じ。 ご主人の軽快なトークと、人間のような指人形に、いつしか釘付けになったり、爆笑したりして楽しく時間を過ごせます。 一人500円は、お得。 パントマイムのような演目なので、外国の方にもおすすめできます。
谷中を訪れたらココは絶対に絶対に立ち寄るべき。ワンコインで爆笑必至な指人形劇場が堪能できる。また、自分自身の指人形も制作してくれるので、想い出にも
