Mt. Chokai is the second highest peak in Tohoku at 2230 meters. It's also one of the most exciting to climb, not so steep and if you climb to the north fsce, half is paved with stones. That makes climbing so much easier. There are a lot of endemic plants found only there. One of them is the sticky thisle, after blooming, it becomes sticky. For the first time, I saw wild blueberries, the plants were all over the mountain.
