Really traditional kakigori shop in the traditional neighborhood of Yanaka! They still use old school tools to make kakigori instead of automatic machines that you can find in most of the kakigori shops! They have wide range of varieties and many seasonal specials! Be sure to check their Twitter account before going as they post daily updates about operating hours and menu. Also be aware that it's a super popular shop among locals, so make sure you have enough time in hand because in summer, specially in busy hours, the waiting time could be as high as 1-1.5 hours! Having said all that, the waiting is worth it as their kakigori is one of the best in Tokyo, if not the best!

I visited here to eat a Japanese shaved ice, Kakigori, with strawberry flavour during quarantine. It was huge, so I shared it with my friend.
When ordering the strawberry special I was expecting to get it with fresh strawberries on top (as per the pictures both here and the menu description) and instead it was just served with more strawberry syrup on top, which was disappointing. It did taste good and there is lots of choice on the menu though. the place is nice and the shaved ice is made by hand. Be prepared to queue, especially on a weekend.
Nice fruity shaved ice desserts. Long queue, I was told the queue is normally 2hrs long. Perhaps due to Covid and it being a weekday afternoon , we only had to wait for less than 10'.
So I took a queue number that was 30 minutes wait, before I could join the actual queue under the hot sun for 40 minutes. It was very well managed and the staff did a really meticulous job to manage the crowd. It was beautiful milk shaved ice with strawberry topping. Definitely worth another trip back, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth an hour’s wait.
