You can always count on Japan for some unique museums and this time it is a museums of tiles. A very clean and neatly done exhibition of tiles from around the world. There is even a tile with bar code that you can scan with your phone and answer a survey for a possible surprise gift! The museum is in a kind of art space with clay/Terracotta museums/labs and a very artsy public toilet just outside the museum. You can visit all the places in this area with a common ticket. Do not forget to grab a bite at the excellent Italian restaurant right next to the museum!

タイルの魅力と歴史を紹介しているタイル専門の博物館です。紀元前から現代までの世界の装飾タイル約1000点を展示していたり、各時代・各国の代表的なタイル空間を再現しています。 タイルひとつとってもその時代や国でかなり特徴があることがわかって面白いです。 博物館入口は青いタイルでできた入口になっていて、そこがとても写真映えします。
INAXライブミュージアム内にある、タイルの博物館です。 色々な国のタイルが展示されています。 館内は広くて綺麗です。
近代建築好きには堪らない場所
コロナ禍の中 ボチボチのお客さんが来てました。 見て回るのに ちょうどよい感じてはあったかな。 タイルの歴史とか 昔の土管の作り方など 紹介されてて、大変興味深く見て回りました。
綺麗だし。接客のお姉さん達も優しい。
様々な世界や歴史あるタイルを見学することが出来、興味深い。
