If you traveling in Tokyo and have the time this is the great way to see the Shitamachi (the lower town, the merchant's area, the old). I bought the day trip ticket and rode the only street car left in the city

This station is the Arakawa Tram end of the line. It is a small station with a rose garden. If you have a map from here ypu can have a nice walk to Asakusa ( it is not close but not so far too - 2.4km in 30 minutes walk ) .
Authentic old Tokyo experience
Terminus of the sole streetcar of Tokyo. It keeps it's vintage atmosphere and the surroundings are great for a walk in Tokyo of the Showa period. Easily also accessed with the Tokyo metro Hibiya line. The start for a trip in the capital's shitamachi ?

ノスタルジックな風情のある都電の終着駅です。多分都電の駅では唯一だと思いますがトイレが有ります。
地元北海道以外で初めて見る路面電車。新鮮味があります。駅周辺も昭和の下町風情が残っていて、とても素晴らしい雰囲気です。札幌にはありません。活用法や活性化を真剣に考えれば、もっと活気が出るハズ。
