This new Sotetsu station is a boon for residents of Hazawaminami and students of 横浜国立大　Yokohama National University. By using this station one can go directly to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Oosaki Station etc. without visiting Yokohama Station. I usually use this station to go to Tokyo area. Today I have visited this station to see off my friend. Contrasting to JR station, entry to the platform is not free. You will need a 140 yen ticket to enter the platform.

A brand new Sotetsu station opened on November 30,2019. There was a free event where everyone can participate and we went there. This new station would really help to connect Hazawaminami with Shinjuku, Ebina, Yokohama, Shin Yokohama.(No need to climb up big hills anymore Recently they installed PASMO/SUICA/Ticket vending machine. So you can recharge your PASMO/SUICA here
