The Okinawa monorail is convenient though limited; still, for those who just spend a day or two, buy a 24 hour ticket for 700 yen. It goes from when bought counting 24 hours forward, and permits unlimited trips for the duration of the ticket. Tickets: Even if buying a station to station ticket, always hold on to the ticket until you get out of the destination stop. The ticket is used when entering the station, and when leaving the destination stop. You must insert the ticket again to get out of the destination station. If you don't have the ticket - maximum price will be charged. You can walk to most places from the monorail stations, kind of. It is the best way of getting to the city from the airport since traffic congestion is not a concern. So, if you need to go to a friend's house in the city, take the monorail if possible, it will save your friend a lot of time stuck in traffic. (and you too will save time)

If you are wasting your time in hotel room just don’t waste the time visit the omoromachi park after your dinner walk above the bridge of the park and look toward the monorail staition wait there for few minutes .
