Worst station!! You have to get up and cross platform just to find out the train you need will depart from the platform you just left. Stupidest and least skilled staff on entire Yokohama line work here!

This station has connections to the stations of 町田and 田町. The trains for these destinations use the same platform. It is too easy to mistakenly board the wrong train. This causes people to waste their time.

This station is the merging point of JR Yokohama (YK) line and JR KeihinTohoku (KT) lines. It’s usually confusing for first time travelers who need to change lines at this station. But I think they planned best possible for easy transfer within lines. For easy recognition, Yokohama line trains are colored green and Keihin Tohoku lines are colored blue. Usually Yokohama line ends here. So, people traveling FROM Machida/Hashimoto/Hachioji TO Yokohama/Isogo/Ofuna must change to KT line from platform 1 TO Kawasaki/Tsurumi/Tokyo must change to KT line from platform 4. FROM Yokohama/Isogo/Ofuna/Tokyo/Tsurumi/Kawasaki (KT line) TO Machida/Hashimoto/Hachioji must change to YK line from platform 2 or 3. The time display will show which platform will be the first train to start at 3rd line. There are some (very few) direct trains for Yokohama line FROM Hachioji/Hashimoto/Machida TO Yokohama/Sakuragicho/Isogo/Ofuna. Identify using the color code maintained for trains. Hope this will be helpful.

Tokyo Stranger

Well, well, well... . This stations is not so interesting in. It's a very usual station that you can visit all around in Japan. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets, fitness center and so on. You may stop by this station for transit to go Kikuna, Tokyo etc. I also stop by U-don restaurant in the station. Taste was not bad. You can get rid of your hunger quickly with very cheap price.
