We came here in late December 2017. The campsite has some areas where the ground is all right to put up a tent, but more or less it's stone pebbles everywhere. But we came here with a camper car - so no issue at all. The toilet facilities are clean and there is an Onsen for hot shower/bath close by. Campfire seems to be allowed. Dogs are allowed on the site too. The view you have on Mount Fuji is breathtaking!! Especially in the winter season when the air is clear and snow covers the peak.

Beautiful camping ground on the shores of Lake Shoji with stunning views of Mt. Fuji, Shojiko and the surrounding forests and mountains. Seems to get quite busy in the weekends but I imagine all the camp grounds in this area do because they're all so nice. Was interesting to see the rowing lanes set up.
Reservation is not required for camping. Good location, clean toilet, low price.
Very scenic place to view Mt Fuji
2020年11月、３連休明けの平日にお世話になりました。10時到着で一番乗りでした（前日の組の方は少し残ってましたけど…）合計５組くらいでしたので、ゆったりスペースで利用できました。日中は晴天に恵まれたので湖と綺麗な子抱き富士を堪能。素晴らしい眺望です。 地面が堅い所が多いのと、ぬかるみも結構あるので鍛造・スチール・チタンなどの丈夫で長めのペグがおすすめ。ゴミは炭も含めて全て持ち帰りです。あと、猫・カラスがいるので就寝時やサイトを離れるときは食材の片づけなど注意が必要。トイレはウォシュレットではないが水洗でとても綺麗です。
キャンプサイトを利用しました。 宿泊した日の運が悪かったのか、キャンプをBBQと勘違いした利用者が明け方まで騒いで寝れませんでした。ロケーションは良かっただけに残念でした。 野良猫？がテントにマーキングをするので利用をお考えの方はご注意を。
