We booked our 4 kids, aged 4,8,9 and 10 in with Tomo and his lovely “assistant” and bodyboarding champion Yuri-chan. Tomo’s English is amazing and he very walked the kids through the safety procedures with a breeze. We met at Rikky’s Surfshop 30min before the kids’ lessons and got measures up for wetsuits. We then followed Tomo and Yuri to an AMAZING quiet and WIDE beach with ample parking facilities, an adjacent grassy park with playground and a large toilet and bathroom facility. The kids’ did warm ups and then got in the water. Because of the great explanation, all 4 of them got on their boards and were actually surfing the waves!!! Tomo and Yuri kept checking in with them, if they weren’t cold, if they were OK. I happened to cut my foot on a barnacle on the rocks and Yuri, being a nurse, got me back to the surfshop, cleaned the wound and bandaged me up nicely. When we got home and got ourselves some lunch, to our great surprise we were sent some awesome GoPro videos and pictures from the kids from Yuri, who had a camera on her head the whole time!! Great memories and the kids can’t wait to go again Highly recommend!!
