Warabi-mochi is great texture. Brown sugar syrup is proper sweet and aroma. Good pair with green tea. Very good service and atmosphere.

Delicious warabi mochi. It costs 880yen. There's no English menu so it will be good that you show picture to the staff.
My favourite traditional Japanese sweets place to have Warabi mochi, which was sold out on the day I went again. Tried the hot mochi which comes with matcha tea and it was good as well!
Traditional pastries, extremely delicate flavor and texture. Though the price may not be for budget travelers, the store provides peace and tranquility in traditional Japanese house.

平日の13:00頃に行かせていただきました。 私たち2人しかおらずとても静かで、ゆっくりさせていただきました。 栗のわたぼうしとできたてわらび餅をオーダーしました。 出来立てのわらび餅は中に餡子が入っており、餡子好きの私はとても嬉しかったですそして温かくてこれからの季節にはぴったり！優しいお味でした。栗のわたぼうしは本当の栗を食べているかのようなナチュラルな栗の味！ 両方お抹茶にぴったりでした。 また最初に出していただいた温かいほうじ茶もとても美味しく、その後急須を持ってきてくださってタイミングからサービスがとても素晴らしいなとおもいました。ゆっくりとした空間でとても贅沢な時間をすごさせていただけました。
